Well, looking at the site during the day has been beneficial and proof of concept – I am sure that the rest of the team will change things into some ever evolving organism – but that’s life!
BTW Is it Darwins’ Birthday?
wow! Onset how i love ye! Bloggers be aware this is the place to tell us about what you think. Would love to get people’s opinions on who their favourite lecturers are? Perhaps we could do some investigating into their lives for you! Or even better, you could do it for us!!! Happy Easter and Passover all!
It seems once you reply there is no approval needed if your name and email is registed in the database – lets see if that is the case?
Yes it is, once you have been approved, you can write – an email is sent to the administrator and has links that can just delete your message or class it as spam without going to the site – neat
Just think what it can do – the interns can submit stories and they can be approved by a team of editors before going up on the web – Or they can go up and be edited online as part of a checking process making it more immediate – what do you think?
Gerry is off to look at some RARE Books at the University of Sydney at a special event for Science Communicators – Maybe even an original Charles Darwin Book!
Coming up in the 22nd of April 2009 is the World Wide Day in Science – hosted by UNSW
The “Day in Science” covers just the one day each year, a typical day or an extraordinary day. Chasing lizards, tracking stars, refining an article, shepherding schoolchildren, cleaning boots, tidying up a mailing list, making a discovery …
We are showing school students where they can go in science, anywhere in the world, from Paris to the Antarctic, from KEK to Brookhaven, from a school desk to the editor’s desk.
Why not have a look at WWDS and submit something! – It’s quick and simple and can be done all online!
The Submission page is:

cheers
